1. Jerzy Dudek
   Wrote his name indelibly into Anfield folklore with his goalkeeping heroics in Istanbul. The big Pole broke Milan hearts with a stunning save in extra-time and another two in the shoot-out as Liverpool clinched their most remarkable European success.
   
   


2. Alan Kennedy
   The unlikely hero of Paris '81 and Rome '84, Barney Rubble"s European Cup clinching goals against Real Madrid and AS Roma cemented his status as a Reds legend and earned him everlasting fame.
   


3. David Fairclough
   
   Scorer of the most famous goal in Liverpool history, Supersub's never-to-be-forgotten strike against St Etienne in the 1977 European Cup quarter-final paved the way for the Reds to conquer Europe for the first time.
   
   


4. Kenny Dalglish
   
   Capped his first season at Anfield by scoring the winning goal in the 1978 European Cup Final. His delightful chip at Wembley was enough to defeat the FC Bruges 1-0 and ensure Liverpool became the first British side to retain the trophy.
   
   


5. Phil Neal
   
   Has won more (four) European Cup winners medals than any other Liverpool player. Neal was also on the scoresheet in both the '77 and '84 final victories over and captained the Reds in the ill-fated '85 final at Heysel.
   
   


6. Steven Gerrard
   
   Skippered the Reds to their dramatic 2005 Champions League triumph against AC Milan. Scored the goal that sparked the miraculous second half comeback and also famously netter a late winner in the final group game against Olympiacos earlier in the season.
   
   


7. Tommy Smith
   
   Sealed Liverpool's first European Cup win in 1977 with a 'Roy of the Rovers' style bullet header against Borussia Moenchengladbach in Rome. The Anfield Iron also captained the Reds to their first UEFA Cup triumph in 1973.
   
   


8. Bruce Grobbelaar
   
   Brucie's 'spaghetti legs' unnerved established Italian internationals Conti and Graziani in the 1984 European Cup Final penalty shoot-out and enabled Joe Fagan's Liverpool to upset the odds and clinch an unprecedented treble.
   
   


9. Vladimir Smicer
   
   A much-maligned figure for much of his injury hit Anfield career, Vladi redeemed himself in his final game for the club by coming off the bench in the Champions League Final against Milan, scoring in normal time and converting from the spot in the penalty shoot-out.
   
   


10. Howard Gayle
    
    Rookie winger who was pitched into the 1981 European Cup semi-final second leg in Munich's Olympic Stadium and preceded to run an experienced Bayern defence ragged as Bob Paisley"s injury-ravaged sidereached a third final.
